Mark Johnston's Bay Story ran well on his handicap debut at Salisbury last month and has to be respected but this is the first time that he has tackled older horses and he may not be up to the task so preference is for Batik, who gets the vote ahead of Most Definitely. The last mentioned resumed winning ways at Doncaster last month but is 6lbs higher now and this looks tougher. Richard Fahey's horses normally start to come into form at this time of year so Sualda has to be respected along with Always Esteemed, who steps up in trip to 1m4f for the first time. Ralph Beckett's Come On Jonny has been running consistently well all season but is another tackling older horses for the first time, while Ski Jump drops back in distance. The vote though goes to Luca Cumani's Batik, who is lightly raced and progressive and is fancied to complete a hat-trick.
