          Verdict

          Yet another big field of handicappers line up here, with a tentative vote going to Bishopstone Man ahead of Mister Sweets, Mehmaas and Sharp Breeze. The latter has solid enough credentials, hailing from a big yard and with decent winning form to his credit, but is unlikely to represent any value. Mister Sweets was not beaten too far when 11th over six furlongs on his last start on the Knavesmire and could be in the shake-up along with Mehmaas, capable enough at best. However, Bishopstone Man is the one we like the look of and gets the nod. A winner Beverley earlier in the season, Henry Candy's six-year-old looked all set to add to that success at Nottingham last time when going like the winner throughout the final two furlongs. Unfortunately he was boxed in on the rails and by the time he saw daylight it was all over, with Magic Amour beating him by a neck. With his apprentice rider once again able to utilise his claim, and his number 13 draw meaning he can go down the centre, there should be no excuses now for Bishopstone Man.
