        Verdict

        Headgear has had the desired effect on MITIGATOR, who finished closer over track and trip last month before winning at Lingfield. He started the year on a much higher mark and a 3lb rise may not be enough to anchor him in this. Sharp Operator has failed to build on an earlier second at Brighton and King Oswald hasn’t figured since going close over track and trip in May. Just Later is fitted with blinkers for his return to a mile and may do better but Clem A disappointed at Nottingham last time having failed to settle.
