Verdict

Despite the small field, this is quite competitive. Red Cardinal is apparently going from strength-to-strength. He won by six lengths on his handicap debut at Salisbury and a 6lb penalty shouldn't prevent a bold bid to complete the hat-trick. Al won over a similar trip at Newmarket last year and can be forgiven his run on heavy ground at Nottingham in October. February's Wolverhampton winner Space Mountain should appreciate the step up in distance and Spa's Dancer is a tough sort, though has never won beyond a mile and not since 2013. RUWASI might be the value as he kept on nicely after a lengthy absence when second at Windsor and the winner went on to finish fourth in the Duke Of Edinburgh Stakes at Ascot.
