Plenty have chances in an ultra competitive finale with the vote just going to St Ivian ahead of Largs and Yorkie. The last mentioned has run well in similar contests over five furlongs of late and has solid claims if able to reproduce the form over today's longer trip. Aintnecessarilyso has more to do than when winning at Warwick last time and of more interest may be Shirley Oaks, who showed improved form at Lingfield on Saturday but is far from certain to reproduce that effort back on turf. Grand View is consistent in this grade but seems booked for a place at best, while Vlasta Weiner has shown improved form of late but this looks tougher. Last month's Wolverhampton winner Tipsy Lad has yet to show that he is as effective on turf and of more interest may be recent Warwick scorer Largs, although he may find this trip in excess of his best. There are no such problems for St Ivian though who is versatile as far as trips are concerned, in good form and takes a big drop in class.
