Themesofgreen was good value for his defeat of the well-backed Bold Phoenix (a winner since) at Brighton earlier this month and is taken to follow up at the main expense of Wood Fern and Elms Schoolboy. The last mentioned opened his account in a similar contest at Southwell last week but it remains to be seen whether he can reproduce the form back on turf and James Eustace's gelding may be best watched. Get To The Point has disappointed in two starts since landing a course and distance selling handicap in August but has claims on that earlier form, while Wodhill Be has been running consistently well in this grade of late but may be better over shorter. Young Kate is clearly nothing out of the ordinary but is less exposed than most of these so has to be respected along with Fleet Anchor, for who a market move would be of interest. Tacid is another to consider on recent evidence, while Wood Fern has a race of this nature in him and should handle the ground. Themesofgreen has an obvious chance on the form of what he showed at Brighton though and gets the vote to follow up.
