In depth

Verdict

The Theatrical colt Decameron is an interesting newcomer for Sir Michael Stoute in this maiden but he may need further to show his best form and a better bet looks to be Missioner, who gets the vote with Dark Prospect rated the pick of the remainder. The selection showed a decent level of form in both starts as a juvenile in races at Ascot and Goodwood and, provided that he has trained on from two to three, Mark Johnston's colt looks the most likely winner. Peter Chapple-Hyam's Platoche needs to improve on the form shown in his two starts, while Royal Destination is an interesting newcomer from Jeremy Noseda's stable but may do better over further. Michael Jarvis has his team in good form so Dark Prospect has to be respected on his reappearance but it is Missioner that gets the vote.
