In depth

Verdict

The Darling Boy was raised 4lb after finishing second at Sedgefield but has won off higher marks over fences and can't be ignored. Well Mett has been threatening to win a race but disappointed in a visor when favourite at Fakenham and the headgear is dispensed with here. Polo Springs has won a couple of point-to-points but was very modest when last seen under Rules and the potentially well-treated Layla's Boy may need this. LADYVIE won off this mark over fences at Newton Abbot in April and wasn't disgraced back over timber at Towcester. She may well prove good enough here on that form.
