PATRICKTOM BORU has assembled a creditable sequence over both hurdles and fences since joining Evan Williams and looked all over the winner all the way up the straight over course and distance last time before being denied in the shadow of the post. He's 7lb higher now but still emerges as the one to beat as the front two were well clear of their nearest pursuer that day. Clubs Are Trumps is 3-6 over fences and, as a 6-y-o, should have more to come in this sphere as he's still learning the ropes. He's shown a fine attitude to land all three chase successes by half a length or less and seems sure to be in the mix once again. Brother Scott would have been an easy winner at Southwell the last day but for falling at the last and is a danger to all if over that unfortunate spill.
