Verdict

Anthony Honeyball and Rachael Green have proved a winning partnership to follow and MARIE DES ANGES looks hard to get away from in the nightcap. Despite showing very little in the way of form for Alison Thorpe, the filly was evidently well fancied on her debut for a new yard and she duly obliged by a clear five lengths. She may turn out to be very well handicapped indeed. Skylancer was turned over at odds of 1/3 on a drop into plating class and whilst that is an obvious concern on the step back up in grade; the handicapper has dropped him 8lb as a consequence. On The Right Path is surely better than his run at Wetherby suggests. The five-year-old had looked progressive during the spring though the assessor is predictably slow to reduce his rating after previous victories at Market Rasen and Uttoxeter.
