In depth

Verdict

Be Telling has been in very good form of late and can make it back to back wins in this handicap chase, with Alderbrook Girl looking to be the main danger and both He's The Biz and Aegean others to consider. The selection was a very easy winner of a Fakenham handicap chase on good to soft in February when last seen out and would have won at Huntingdon prior to that but for falling when well clear. A nice break should have done him good and he sets the standard and gets the nod here. Alderbrook Girl was another to have scored last time out when taking a Huntingdon novices' handicap chase and she has gone up 6lb as a result. That hike seems fair enough, and it is more her ability to handle faster ground than whether or not she can carry the weight that puts us off backing her to follow up here. He's The Biz is a c&d winner who handles fast ground well but he has never won off this high a mark, while is dropping down the weights but has not won since 2002 and the chances of him breaking that sequence seem remote, so we will stick with Be Telling.
