DEGOOCH couldn't match the finishing speed of Slim Pickens over 2m here last time but had won decisively over this longer trip at Carlisle earlier. He can complete a quick double for trainer and jockey, though won't find it easy to give 10lb to Aglaphonos if the four-year-old recaptures the form he showed when second twice at Ludlow in the autumn. Thatchers Gold was second over 2m here in May but turned in a shocker at Stratford earlier this month and Daring Indian also needs more.
