Cashel Mead looks very interesting here and forms our selection, with Stagnite, He¿s A Rocket and Clipper Hoy others to consider. The selection is 5lb lower than when winning over course and distance almost 12 months ago. He runs here off 58, and having gone well over this minimum trip last time from 2lb higher, he looks to have been given a winning chance once more. Stagnite runs here over his optimum trip, though his latest win came over 6f. That Lingfield success three starts ago alerted the handicapper, who seems to have his measure just at present. He¿s A Rocket won successive races here and at Southwell last month and was not disgraced from this mark at Southwell again last time. However, he¿d need a lifetime best to win this and so we will oppose. Clipper Hoy probably looks best of the rest judged on his staying on second at Southwell last time, but his only previous try here didn¿t offer much encouragement and so we will stick with Cashel Mead who is a fairly confident choice.
