In depth

Verdict

Starship has the right credentials here, with Chief Commander and perhaps Party Belle others to consider for your short lists. The selection, Starship, ran well in defeat over this trip at Lingfield last time, though she still ran green enough to suggest that she can again improve and this time she looks capable of getting it right. Jane Chapple-Hyam's Chief Commander made a pleasing debut, also at Lingfield, and shaped as though a fair bit further was within his compass. He will be better for that run and can go close. Of the others, Party Belle drops back in trip by two furlongs, but will need to improve on what we have seen so far, and with little else appealing we take Starship to show enterprise and win.
