Verdict

Backing horses with a penalty is always a precarious path to follow and one that will more often than not end in a frustrating outcome. However, Surdoue is sure to come in for plenty of support after a convincing four-length win at Southwell earlier in the week. George Margason thinks the colt will win further races as a three-year-old and plans to give him a break after this outing. That said, the form of that success does not look to be anything special at the moment and he could be worth taking on with his burden increased to 9st-11lb with his 7lb penalty. King Revo and Evolution Baby are worthy of a place on the shortlist but Twentytwosilver has impressed in both his starts so far and he is the TEAMtalk selection here. The Jamie Osborne-trained youngster has already been gelded but still seems a little headstrong on what he has shown so far, but he was good value for his victory margin at Lingfield last time out and can add to his tally if taking to today's surface.
