Verdict

It will be interesting to see if there is any market support for Gojeri on his reappearance for Michael Jarvis having shown promise on his second start as a juvenile at Newmarket in October when sent off at 100/1 but a safer option looks to be WEST EMIRATES, who gets the vote ahead of Skyfire. Mark Johnston's colt lacks any racecourse experience but the son of Storm Cat is bred to be useful and he has to be respected with the stable continuing to send out winners with some regularity. Alan Bailey's Catbells did not progress as much as may have been anticipated last term and she looks best watched with a bigger threat likely to come from Red Gulch. Ed Dunlop's colt made a pleasing start to his career when finishing a close up third behind Bramshaw in a Kempton maiden and he has to be considered with improvement likely but it is hard to get away from West Emirates. The son of Lion Heart has run well here in both starts for Clive Cox, finding one too good on each occasion and he can go one better today back over seven furlongs having not seemingly stayed further last time.
