    Verdict

Just the seven runners are set to go to post for the opener on the card but plenty of them have chances with marginal preference for the David Evans-trained BAZROY, who made a pleasing reappearance on his first start since December 2008 when a close up third behind Fremen here over an extended mile and he can resume winning ways with the main dangers rated as stable companion Silver Wind and Cobo Bay. Kevin Ryan's gelding won a claimer over course and distance earlier this month when beating one of today's rivals Seasider by a neck. He is 1lb worse in with David Simcock's gelding this afternoon and there should not be much to choose between the pair today on the revised terms. The Kyllachy Kid is prone to the odd poor effort for Steve Gollings but he ran better behind Dubai Dynamo over course and distance last time and cannot be discounted but a better threat is likely to come from Silver Wind. David Evans' gelding was well held on his last three starts on turf last season but has to be respected in this grade back on the Polytrack. Stable companion Bazroy has solid claims though after his encouraging reappearance though and he is preferred.
