Verdict

Jack The Laird was only beaten a short-head over course and distance in April and then went one better over 5f here last month. He looks to be on an upward curve and shouldn't be far away but DESERT RIVER was confirming earlier promise when getting off the mark over this trip at Chelmsford. Dream Dana was only beaten a short-head that day and is a pound better off but Mark Tompkins' charge had to overcome trouble in-running to get to the leaders and can confirm the form. Miss Phillyjinks looks held and Ettie Hart may struggle to get to the front over this shorter trip.
