    Verdict

    A moderate turnout symptomatic of the current BHA race planning strategy and Diademas is taken to get the better of Pegasus Dancer. Diademas has proved brutally frustrating for his backers but his 7lb claimer should have had time to adjust to his quirks and if he puts it altogether there is the hope of victory here. Pegasus Dancer is always dangerous if securing a soft lead. He struggles in handicaps but this is his grade. Doubtful Sound has ability but invariably chucks away winning opportunities by hanging badly. Wibbadune is exposed. An uninspiring affair from a punting perspective and Diademas is taken to convert the form of two recent near misses.
