In depth

Verdict

Most of these have won on the track but only Pensax Lad and Temple Road have scored over the course and distance. The former came with a late thrust to mug Doctor Parkes on the line at Chelmsford 12 days ago and can take care of the runner-up again but Temple Road is 10lb higher than when scoring here last month and has never won off a mark this high. Sandfrankskipsgo is extremely consistent but hasn't won since last summer and makes his debut on the surface. ROYAL ACQUISITION was behind three of the aforementioned when unplaced at Kempton at the beginning of the month where he started favourite on the back of completing a double in the autumn. He gave trouble in the stalls and had a wide draw to overcome so had excuses and is given the nod to gain his first success on the track. Luis Vaz De Torres was a 66/1 chance when making a winning debut here a year ago and has also won at Pontefract. He's shown good pace over an extra furlong on his two latest starts and looks to have every chance of reaching the frame.
