In depth

Verdict

Quite a competitive little handicap to bring the card to a close, with honourable mentions for Champaign Sands, Spark Up and Seldemosa, but we go for topweight Rare Coincidence to follow up his course and distance win from earlier in the week. Roger Fisher's gelding goes well here, with his optimum trip. A 6lb penalty will make it more difficult, but he ran on strongly last time and looks worth catching again for a quick repeat. Champaign Sands, gets plenty of weight and won over course and distance in banded company last time. This, however, is a different proposition and others with more class are preferred. Seldemosa would be one of those. Tony Culhane gets on well with the Selkirk filly, who likes it here and continues to please trainer Malcolm Saunders. She is in good heart and might cause the selection most problems, while Spark Up also has some ability and gets the trip, but should find a couple too good, including our choice, Rare Coincidence.
