      Verdict

      Pips Song, Pedro Jack and On The Trail are three against the field in this tight claimer and the vote goes to Pips Song. The selection was a fair third in a seller a couple of runs ago behind Yorkie before being well beaten in a handicap. He reverts to an easier grade here and off what looks a fair mark he will be hard to beat. Pedro Jack is another dropping in grade but he has shown very little on turf of late and the switch back to the AW surface will need to bring about some improvement if he is to score. On The Trail has been in good form of late and won a seller in good style when defeating Pawan last time. However this looks more competitive and for that reason he is opposed. Of the remainder Teyaar was a fair second behind Gilded Cove last time and a reproduction of that effort would see him go close but for the winner we return to Pips Song.
