Russian Reel, Ike Quebec and Requisite are the shortlisted trio here with Russian Reel taken to come out on top. Promising claimer Ike Quebec stepped up on previous form to take a nursery last time but the balance of his form leaves him something to find here and he is taken on. Requisite has shown ability on two starts to date, and improved last time to be a close second. Further improvement can be anticipated but this may be a little too hot. A Haydock maiden winner, Russian Reel was only beaten four lengths by Dark Angel in the St Leger Yearling Sales Race at York in August and with the winner going on to Group One success that form looks well in excess of his rivals. Russian Reel is a confident selection.
