        Verdict

        David Barron's CARNIVORE was having only his second start since April when landing a handicap over course and distance last month and, with more likely to come, he looks capable of defying the 3lb rise in the weights for that success and gets the vote ahead of Kensington and Secret Dubai. The last mentioned has only had two starts since coming to the UK from Italy, running well in defeat at Great Leighs last month and he has to be considered. Strabinios King ran well when third behind Trafalgar Square at Lingfield on Friday and has every chance off the same mark today, while Direct Debit may be a shade high in the weights judged by recent form in handicaps. Kensington has run consistently well of late and should again be thereabouts but Carnivore is open to further improvement and looks the one to be on.
