        Verdict

        FUNKY MUNKY went close over track and trip at the start of the month and looks the one to beat with leading amateur Simon Walker doing the steering. Josie's Dream finished well ahead of Drummond on the Fibresand at Southwell last time and blinkers are applied for the first time today. The latter is preferred to Whiskey N Stout, a close-up third over 1m2f last week and not without a chance in this. General Tufto has won under today's rider before but arrives out of sorts.
