In a first-time visor, GOLD FLASH showed a nice turn of foot to land a handicap here 12 days ago. Rebel Lightning was a close-up third and is a pound better off but Keith Dalgleish’s five-year-old is fancied to confirm the form if the headgear works a second time. Smokethatthunders ran well here on Boxing Day after a break and has every chance on these terms, though the same can be said about most of these with the possible exception of Hijran and Layla's Hero. Pivotman may be best of the rest ahead of Black Dave, who only won a seller last time.
