        Verdict

        Cordelia gets a narrow vote of confidence over Newkeylets and Gattuso in a real headscratcher of a race. Gattuso is a better horse on the All Weather tracks and his profile does not really do him justice. The drop in trip will be a big help for him today and it will come as no surprise to see him go close in this company. Newkeylets has gone close on numerous occasions and despite lacking experience of the surface, she is versatile enough to be expected to cope with the challenge today. Tom Eaves gets on very well with the three-year-old and the partnership rate as the biggest threat to the selection this afternoon. However, a chance is taken that Cordelia, who is unexposed at this trip, can finally deliver on the promise she has shown on several occasions this year. Barry Hills' filly is a well related individual and it will be disappointing for her connections if she cannot deliver at this level.
