Verdict

As his rider carried 2lbs overweight and he was 4lbs out of the weights, PITKIN effectively runs off the same mark as when successful over course and distance last time despite a 6lb penalty. That day he landed a few tasty morning bets in accounting for Forty Proof, whose connections turn to the visor in their bid to find the improvement required to gain revenge. It may well work, but we're inclined to side with the improving Pitkin who is finally beginning to show the ability his pedigree suggests he should have. Miss Toldyaso lost nothing in defeat at Nottingham and should confirm previous Kempton form with Till Dawn on these terms while Mr Optimistic is likely to help set a decent tempo but, on what we've seen so far, has plenty to do off this mark and indeed looks held by Silk Bounty, another with apparent claims.
