Verdict

Blue Star is sure to be a popular choice here with Jamie Spencer booked to ride, and although not an original choice, the partnership get the TEAMtalk nod. Blue Star is often well backed in his races and while he generally produces a late turn of foot he does not always win as many races as he should. However the six-year-old rarely ever runs a bad race and returns to the all-weather in great form following a recent win at York and a second at Newmarket in competitive handicaps. The gelding wintered last time in Dubai and has always shown a liking for this type of surface and should take all the beating. Yenaled has always been better on the dirt and appreciated a return to this surface when winning at Southwell last time. He does need things to go his own way but although this is a tougher race than at Southwell he is the obvious danger. Del Mar Sunset is another who is at his best here and can run well again, however on the evidence of his win last time out in a scrappy race, he would appreciate a stiffer test of stamina. Pagan Prince won on his dirt debut last time and should improve, although this is much tougher while Shotacross The Bow has some good form here to his name and with his Bath form from last time out working out particularly well, he should be a big danger.
