        Verdict

        Shustraya can defy topweight in the nursery, with Mr Loire, Social Rhythm and La Quinta likely to give her most to do. Peter Makin and Eddie Ahern proved to be a formidable combination three weeks ago when Shustraya formed part of a successful treble that the pair enjoyed at Lingfield. Prior to that, Shustraya had been unfortunate on two occasions, so was not winning out of turn, and although in truth she had little to beat, the filly is fancied to follow up on her nursery bow. Mr Loire opened his account in fine style at Kempton, and will not mind the return to this track, while Social Rhythm has scope but may do better when put over seven furlongs. Connections cannot seem to get to the bottom of La Quinta, but maybe she just needs time, and on this occasion she and the rest have it to do to stop Shustraya from following up.
