Verdict

An interesting maiden with horses that clearly have had their troubles along the way and as a consequence the majority have limited experience. The twice raced SHAMALI is given the vote following the promise he showed at Pontefract last time, the front three drawing clear. With the exposed Totem Flower leading home the remainder, it does not auger well for the prospects of those in behind but the winner Jaadull ran very well off 85 on his handicap debut. Bantu, a half-brother to last seasons Craven Stakes winner Adagio is a newcomer of note while Antillia was noted staying on well to take fifth spot in a Windsor maiden last time. The former Godolphin inmate World Of Choice makes his return from twelve months off the track and any market support should be noted. Supaverdi, a half-sister to Supaseus was backed on debut at double figure odds and hailing from the Hughie Morrison yard, should benefit for that initial experience. Spouk was apprentice ridden on debut and has not been seen since. Shamali is selected to come home in front. (John McDonnell)
