    In depth

    Verdict

A fascinating seller that could fall to Million Percent, with Desert Opal and Roman Empire the pick of the others. Karl Burke's seven-year-old returned to winning ways last time , just getting the better of the good yardstick Riquewhir. That was over course and distance and if overcoming his high draw he will be hard to beat. Desert Opal has strong claims on official ratings and looked on the way back last time when finishing a close up third behind Shadow Jumper. Roman Empire is from a yard still firing on all cylanders. He does appear up against it at the weights today, but cannot be totally ruled out on his recent second behind Distant Country. In a wide open event Merdif and Chickado are two others to consider for each-way purposes, but our idea of teh winner is Million Percent.
