A contest that wont take a lot of winning and La Viola is narrowly preferred to Bridgewater Boys and Patavium. Karl Burke's filly is a previous course-and-distance winner but she has not had the best of luck on two recent visits to Lingfield so it is hoped that the switch back to Dunstall Park can work the oracle. Bridgewater Boys should give another bold bid under top-weight and is another course and distance winner. Neil Callan rides this track particularly well although the draw could have been kinder. Patavium has shown little this season although the stable are starting to hit form and it was noted that a number of the horses were supported at Wolverhampton's evening meeting on Saturday. Chater Knight is dropped dramatically in trip and has blinkers applied after a couple of lamentable efforts over 1m 4f. Danzare is lesser exposed than most while the former-David Evans inmate, Knock Bridge is watched in the market on seasonal reappearance. A race of many imponderables but not one requiring too much to secure victory and in light of her consistency, La Viola secures the nomination.
