In depth

Verdict

Passing Hour, Moon Valley and Fangorn Forest are the trio to look at closely here, and Passing Hour has the ability to land his second win of the season. Willie Haggas' Moon Valley has shown good ability in all three of her starts to date, with her aptitude in the ground pretty much confirmed. This is her first run of the season though, and under top weight she is opposed. Fangorn Forest is not the most consistent of types, but ran well over this trip at Sandown on similar ground to today's in May. If reproducing that run he can go well. Passing Hour was easy to back at Salibury on Wednesday despite winning at Goodwood the time before, and he found only a gambled on winner too good. His performance was a sound one in defeat, and he showed there he can handle cut in the ground. If none the worse for his exertions, Passing Hour can land his second race of the campaign.
