In depth

Verdict

Layline continues to win in his turn and is the one to beat at his best but does have to put a strangely below-par run last time to one side. Honourable Knight did really well to outpoint the in-form Glennten at Lingfield on the Polytrack and continues to suggest that he's that bit more effective on an artificial surface whilst On Stage is still a maiden despite running with some credit and Jenny Powell is an increasingly useful 7lb claimer. The choice is FERRYVIEW PLACE, putting in some useful efforts in this sort of company since having his attentions turned to Turf, and likely to handle this step-up in trip on the evidence of latest performances. He receives plenty of weight from those towards the head of the handicap and rates a solid option.
