Verdict

Richard Fahey sends Growl from Yorkshire but both of his victories to date have been on fast going, unlike fellow traveller New Bidder whose two victories at Ayr last summer were on ground with give. Ice Lord won one of these qualifiers last month from today's rival Stellarta, who has been beaten subsequently, though it was a 0-95 handicap and this is tougher. Three-year-olds have a reasonable record so Reflektor, the only entry from the younger generation, must be respected on his favourite ground. KICKBOXER (NAP) hasn't recaptured his three-year-old form which saw him runner-up in an Ascot Listed contest. But he was having his first start for almost a year when a close fifth on ground with some give at Newbury last month and looks ready to regain the winning thread.
