Verdict

Skeaping has been placed in four of his seven starts but has disappointed the last twice over this trip. Touchdown Banwell and Pastoral Music are likely improvers, however, and the latter's trainer Hughie Morrison is also responsible for Chelmsford runner-up Admiral's Sunset, though this drop in distance is not certain to suit the latter. Hepplewhite probably sets the standard and has been unlucky not to have got his head in front before now, though connections can't seem to find his ideal trip. ROCKSPIRIT could thwart him this time as Marco Botti's gelding ran a race full of promise at Chelmsford in October considering he blew the start. He's out of a Galileo mare so the step up in distance is a positive.
