Verdict

It took a while for the penny to drop with TROPICAL ROCK on her debut at Ascot but Ralph Beckett's speedily-bred filly was noted making good late headway and she looks the one to beat here with that experience. Barrington, who cost 60,000gns, was also green on debut at Newbury, however, and will know more today. Charlie Hills also runs the nicely-bred Rising Eagle while Super Julius hinted at ability at Ascot. Nicky Baby may need this but he's by Dark Angel so shouldn't be short of pace and Rapid Ranger is also worth a market check but Irish Melody is bred to need much further.
