Verdict

Haleo and Clodoaldo are highest-rated on official figures but that's more of a comment on the company they've been keeping rather then actual achievements. Obviously either could be more than good enough dropping into the basement but STANLOW appeals as a value alternative despite having to concede over a stone to the aforementioned pair. A dual winner on the all-weather during the winter, he's performed reasonably well in a couple of Turf handicaps of late, notably when a fair third at Brighton behind Last Minute Lisa and receives the vote with that solid if modest run of form to his name. Exclusive Contract has only had three runs and is a possible improver.
