      Verdict

Travis Bickle hasn't built on initial juvenile promise and it'll be interesting to see if John Flint can rekindle a brighter spark but he's 4lb out of the weights which makes things much tougher. Avocadeau has yet to operate in this class of handicap whilst Ganges and Barye need to step up on previous efforts to trouble the top two. Solidarity has lived up to his name this season with a consistent run of efforts despite not being a Godolphin leading light but is taken on with TEARS OF THE SUN. The Varian filly has proved effective over 8-12f and is readily forgiven her latest run when only fifth to Cossetted in a decent Chester handicap. She wont be the last to find it hard to obtain a run at that idiosyncratic venue and Harry Bentley was rightly not at all hard on her when her chance had gone. She's well worth another chance with Jamie Spencer on board, the pair having combined to score at Southwell last winter.
