Verdict

Emma Lavelle has a good record at this time of year and DEMOGRAPHIC can boost her figures by defying topweight. The gelding has few miles on the clock with only 11 runs since October 2012 but his recent effort when runner-up at Huntingdon on the back of a nine-month absence suggests his turn is near. Trip and ground should suit the son of Aptitude. Mount Russell does appear somewhat harshly treated for this handicap debut but he has shown sprinkles of ability in novice hurdles and looks the type to do well now his attention turns to handicaps. Market support would be significant for the Oliver inmate. Lets Go Duchess should be in the mix too along with Presenting Berkley from a rejuvenated yard and the nicely treated Shaddali.
