Gansey made a promising debut when a close third behind Bertie May over course and distance last month and the Paul Nicholls-trained gelding looks the most likely winner here on that evidence with Desert Inferno and Falcons Gift rated the main dangers. Desert Inferno was a well held second behind a useful looking recruit on his debut at Stratford and has to be respected as does Marigolds Way, although she is strictly held by the selection on running last time. Samsbro is bred for this game and Victor Dartnell's six-year-old makes more appeal than another newcomer Young Eric. Robert Alner's Falcons Gift should improve for his debut spin and has to be considered but Gansey makes plenty of appeal and is preferred.
