Verdict

Just For Now has been given a chance by the handicapper but having failed to complete in his four starts this term is probably best ignored with a safer bet looking to be Captain Flinders, who gets the vote ahead of Tradingup. The last mentioned has solid claims having been good value for his defeat of another of today's rivals Treasulier at Taunton last month but a 9lb rise in the handicap since then has to be of some concern and he may be best watched. Predestine is capable but inconsistent, while Mylord Collonges was well held when falling at Kempton last time and has not progressed since coming to the UK from France. The vote then goes to Henrietta Knight's Captain Flinders, who has shown steady improvement and remains on a favourable mark so he is preferred.
