In depth

Verdict

Red Brook Lad had been in fine form, winning four hunter chase events on the bounce, until unseating early on at Ludlow last time and is taken to resume winning ways at the main expense of Trade Off and Milldalus. The last mentioned is hard to evaluate having only raced in point-to-points so far but he seemingly showed improved form last time and would have to be watched in the market. Guignol du Cochet takes a drop in class having been well held in the Aintree Fox Hunters' when last seen under rules but is hard to recommend on recent evidence, while Whatashock has been hard to win with and Pertemps Profile was pulled up in a point-to-point when last seen. Trade Off has been in good form between the flags of late and has solid form in this grade so rates the main danger but Red Brook Lad has an obvious chance and he gets the vote.
