In depth

Verdict

Bob Buckler's Over The Flow has run well on heavy ground before and she has to be considered on ground that should not inconvenience her but she needs to improve on all known form to trouble MISSTREE DANCER, who is preferred to Love of Tara and Lady Roberta. Gordon Elliott's mare won well enough on soft ground at Gowran Park last month and she has to be respected on that evidence but she disappointed on her last venture to the UK at Ffos Las and is not certain to stay this far so may be best watched. Stable companion Sally Bawn was nothing out of the ordinary on the level and gave little sign for encouragement on her hurdling debut in December so she is hard to recommend and of more interest is Love of Tara. Martin Keighley's mare is the highest rated of the eight runners and has a bit in hand on official BHA ratings but she has yet to race on ground as testing as this and does have a penalty to carry so it may be worth taking a chance with Misstree Dancer. Nick Mitchell's mare has run well on the last two occasions that she has encountered heavy ground, falling when going well three out at Leicester and winning easily at Newton Abbot last month, and she looks worth a bet.
