Verdict

Winning point-to-pointer and bumper VICANGELOME (NAP) only showed moderate form over hurdles but it was a different matter on his chasing bow when narrowly beaten by Badgerfort at Sligo with the remainder well behind. A last-fence blunder didn't help and he can go one better. Shadow Play won over hurdles here in May and is bred for chasing so he's one to note for the future as is King Blue, who did well in minor handicaps over timber and won at Cork in March. Beautiful Ben was in good form over hurdles during the summer and is another newcomer to keep an eye on while Motown Bob was only biding his time over timber and should start making his presence felt soon over the bigger obstacles.
