Verdict

A shocking turnout with Willie Mullins providing half of the four entries. Colin Bowe's Gold Patrol landed a beginners event at Downpatrick before a poor run in a Punchestown handicap and will need to do much better as will Archie Meade, who was under pressure and making little headway when left clear at Listowel for his first victory over fences in 14 starts. URANO comfortably has the beating of stablemate Indevan on recent form and should have little difficulty landing this. Beaten a short-head by Rogue Angel in the Kerry National, when Indevan was a distance back, he also ran well in the Munster National where his rival pulled up so it will be a surprise if the form is reversed.
