In depth

Verdict

Lettre de Cachet, runner-up in a Grade 2 last year, was having her first start for 17 months when an unlucky loser behind Kalopsia at Galway last month where she was going best when meeting the last all wrong. With that under her belt, she's certain to make a bold bid to go one better. That winner is trained by Joseph O'Brien, who has the Flat handicapper Along The Shore entered here and she looks a likely type for hurdling though maybe not as much as TOE THE LINE. John Kiely's mare, a winning bumper on her debut in 2013, has switched to the Flat with great success and landed a Listed contest on heavy ground at Naas last month so she looks the one to be on as she makes her hurdling debut. Bargy Lady won by a distance on her introduction in a Listowel bumper but couldn't quite concede the promising Morgan 7lb in a better race at Cork but like Forge Meadow, who has a similar profile, she's definitely on the short-list. With her stable in such brilliant form Theatre Dreams, who made a promising start over timber here last month, is another to keep an eye on in a very interesting maiden.
