In depth

Verdict

Dual point-to-point winner Shawshank was bowling along in front and had the race in the bag when unseating his rider just after the second last over 2m4f here a fortnight ago. He should be even better suited by this trip though the same remark also applies to IFICUDIWUD (NAP). Noel Meade's charge has also scored between the flags and though having no answer when Batts Rock quickened away at Downpatrick the winner would be at very short odds here and the pair were well clear of the third Killinkere, who should also be suited by stepping up in trip. Fire Away is penalised for a bumper victory on testing ground here in March after which he finished last in the championship bumper at Punchestown while Chasing Abbey made a decent start over timber at Killarney and should be winning soon.
