Green 'n' Gold deserves to win a race of this nature having been knocking on the door of late but Micky Hammond's gelding has plenty of weight to carry and preference is for Southern Bazaar, who gets the vote ahead of Balmoral Queen. The last mentioned has been beaten off this mark in three starts since winning at Uttoxeter in December but cannot be discounted with the yard of Ginger McCain back among the winners of late. Armentieres has given little cause for optimism in similar company of late, while Lord Baskerville has claims on his best form but that is generally with more cut in the ground. Twist N Turn has a nice racing weight but remains a maiden and preference is for Southern Bazaar, who has conditions that should suit and has shown enough of late to suggest that a race of this nature would be within his compass.
